Superstay Strength Nail Primer

I think the Maybelline SuperStay Strength Primer is great. I usually wear nail polish all the time and so my nails are not in the best condition - I also find that nail polish chips really easily and I am forever touching it up. This time I used the primer on my nails first. It went on very easily and the brush size is just right. I allowed it to dry fully before applying my main nail polish. I found that the polish last a lot longer before it started to chip. When I eventually removed the polish my nails appeared to be in better condition as well. I would definitely recommend this product if you want something to keep your nails strong and help make your polish last longer!

Wasn't too sure at first. Then soon changed my mind. Easy to apply,and long lasting. Dries quickly and it's without the awful strong smell. Nail varnish seems to be staying on longer,tried a few different makes. Would buy again in future

I have been using this product for a few weeks and noticed a massive change in my nails. They are a lot stronger now and the primer gives it a healthy look. Only down fall is you have to put it on quite thick to see the changes.

With this base my nails have improved and strengthened. Helps my nails grow. Keeps them looking nice. It dries quickly and doesn't smell bad. The brush is just the right size for perfect application of the nail

Lovely product and would recommend to friends. It was easy to reply and take off and the nail didn't feel or look damaged.

I like to do my nails, and I like to try anything that could give me that elegance you get from going to the nail shops, however I have very oily nail beds and I can literally peel nail varnish off while the next day. So when I heard about Maybelline super stay strength primer I thought YESS! Maybe this could be my very own beauty saviour. I found it very easy to use, one application and the curved brush fits the whole nail. It dried very quickly too, no waving your hands round frantically. After applying my colour I had achieved that smooth, professionally manicured look, however it still only lasted a couple of days without chipping. Something I can only attribute to my own nails and by no means maybellines issue.

It's 'useful' product that unfortunately made no difference to my nails whatsoever. I was hoping for an amazing result but my nail varnish chipped within the day.

My nails have been in a terrible state lately, a mixture of post pregnancy and a love of acrylic nails have left them brittle and unheathly. I like bold nail polish , but have been finding I have an issue with yellowing after removal.
I wasby expecting a primer to be anything other than a marketing ploy , but I am very surprised. Since using it my nails have become stronger and I now have a nice even length - no more brittle nails! I have found it helps my colour to stay longer which is excellent. However I don't think I would use this product without a nail polish on top. It has a slightly sticky feel to it even after it dries. The shape of the brush is excellent for applying, and dries quickly meaning it doesn't really add much time to your manicure. Very impressed !

I think the Maybelline basecoat is brilliant! Ive used it a few times with various different makes of nail polish and it really makes a difference.
I like the brush as its quite wide so you only need a couple if strokes' and the nail is covered also super fast drying! Brilliant when your in a rush.it doesn't smell strong either like some ive used
My nail polish definitely stays put alot longer to
I will be purchasing this again as soon as it runs out!

I tried this as my nails are so weak
I've used it over a few weeks and I can honestly say I feel my nails have a renewed strength and are certainly breaking less!! It's a great product and easy to apply/remove. My nails feel firmer.

This product does what it says. Easy to apply and after several uses my nails feel stronger. Nail polish lasted for a few extra days than it normally would on bare nails so overall I'm happy with the results.

This primer works very well from the moment you apply it.ive always found they tend to stick to quickly or clump. It doesnt clump and drys very fast after youve finished applying so no waving the hands around . After it dried i put my regular polish over the too and i noticed it didnt flake as fast . Definitely will buy again.

I usually just use two coats of my strengthener which i have been happy with for years. Then i use this maybelline base coat instead and its much better. The wide brush means you only need one stroke which leaves a lovely silky base coat. But I am most impressed that by using this product my varnish has stayed on and looked fab for twice as long as usual. Fab product .

My nails were weak and brittle when I first tried the base, the larger brush made it easy to apply and it felt cool and refreshing on my nails. My nail varnish chipped after 2 days of using the product hence the four stars, however my nails are now stronger and have grown really well since using the product! Loved it

Starting using this primer for under my normal nail varnish and I have to say I was impressed. I have quite brittle nails and under the colour it did a great job at protecting my nail and I think made my polish sit better on my nails. I would defiantly recommend to everyone.

Wow, I'm impressed. The brush alone is brill, full nail coverage in one swoop. There isn't an overpowering smell and it dries quickly. my nails feel stronger and look much better. Also doubles as a great base for your nail colour. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This is really good I have told friends and family this keep nail varnish on for longer. It aslo very good keep your nails stonger

I thought the primer base coat was good my nails feel stronger not as fast drying as my other ones but it help nail polish stay on longer i would use it again if tje price was right

At first glance, I'm not impressed. Silver writing on a muddy white background; I had to squint to check I had the right product. The bottle itself is retro gone bad, reminiscent of a campaign in the 70's where the doorbell lets you know your product has arrived.
I was genuinely astonished. The small, squat brush made short work of the job, producing 10 shiny and polished fingernails for inspection (there is an odds-on chance they may even have been my own).
I think I resumed the housework a little too soon, because I damaged the base coat instantly. That was after approx 7.3mins so I'd allow it to set a wee bit longer.
The instant 'strength' IS there. Nails even look a bit whiter to me but that may be down to laser eye surgery.
Therefore decided, in a feat of daring, to enter my nails in Total Wipeout: Maybelline Special. I only ever agree to put my name to a product unless I've tested it to extinction as you will soon begin to learn. Next stop...."Yes! The grouting!", I snarl in a pirate-like fashion.

Making a good old lather, one part shower gel and ten parts bleach, I rubbed the corrosive mush gleefully onto my hands and into my nails.
After seven minutes of frantic finger gouging of the bathroom sealant, my nails were dull and chipped, dirty and useless. Grouting acceptable. THE END.

ALTERNATIVE ENDING (or the ACTUAL ending as some like to call it):
Rest in no doubt that I despise a happy ending as much as the next girl (and what I'm going to say makes my throat chafe), but when I checked the work in progress at the six minute mark, they looked alarmingly shiny and polished, all ten of them...

I really liked this primer - my nails definitely feel stronger and I feel my nail polish stayed on for longer when adding the maybeline protecting base.
The applicator brush was a lot bigger than I am used to but I actually found this a plus as it meant you only required one swoop.
It also dried really quickly

Having never primed my nails before I wasn't sure what to expect but I was delighted! Even a first coat on its own left my nails with a strong healthy shine that looked really pretty! The curved brush made it super easy to use and so far the results have lasted days!! After applying colour my nails look so buff and healthy! This is now added to my regular home nail kit-I love it!

Im not a big fan of this strengthing primer :( it made no difference to my nails and when it chipped it took a chip of my nail too!!

I've never used a base coat before so trying this was a first for me. I was very pleased and I think this product is amazing! My nails were instantly shiny and stronger when I applied the primer. The nail brush was soft and easy to use. I love the shape of the bottle. Definitely recommend and will be purchasing again!!

LOVE this base coat! My nails had started to split and become weak... now they feel strong and have started growing again stronger!

I Love this, for the first time in years my nails are growing and look healthy! It is quick drying not sticky and a little goes a long way. My nails look shiny and are definitely stronger!

This product is such a good basecoat , it has made my nails stronger and stops chipping. The only problem with it is its to liquidy.

This product is looking good in my nails.. It dry so quick. And I can feel it makes my nails strong. I definitely love this product.

I had never used a nailpolish primer before so going into it I wasn't very sure how I was going to feel.
However, I was impressed.
First some of the down sides I noticed straight away, I think the product itself was a bit liquid and the brush was very big so when applying to my little finger some of the product did go all over either sides of my nail.
Now, the up sides, it dries very quickly and it definitely makes the nail polish last long. I usually have to put two layers of nailpolish for it to last long but with this primer I don't have to do that. I've been using it for a couple of days now and my nailpolish is still very intact, and believe me I've touched a lot of water since I painted my nails.
Overall, I'm impressed with the pay off of the product and I will definitely be using it from now on , only downside was the size of the brush but that's manageable.
(I have included a photo and you can see that some of the nailpolish is gone from the bottom part of the nail, however I have been using it for about 5 days now and to me this is amazing considering the amount of water I've touched)

This product has been designed to prep, plump and perfect your nails and it does just that. My nails felt stronger and definitely smoother before applying nail varnish and I found my polish lasted longer than when I don't use a base coat. The only issue I had with the product is the shape of the brush. The C shaped brush meant that a lot of polish gathered on the underside of the brush, it was hard to scrape off on the side of the bottle and meant I ended up with more on my nails than I probably needed. It still dried quickly and worked well as a base coat however, just a bit messy to apply. Overall I was really happy with this and will be using it every time I paint my nails.

Lovely primer..dried really quick ideal if you're in a rush..very shiny and my varnish glided on after.
